The orientation of the museum is based at the same time on the "presence of the glass in the Tarn and the Southwest quarter since the Gallo-Roman period in the creation of the VOA" and on the "glass contemporary creation" (contemporary arts of glass making and uses of the glass in the contemporary art " impulsed the decision in 2011 to create a collection called :"Forest Glass factories" from the 15th to the 19th century.
The main part of this collection is base on the production of glass factory of use and typical prestige of Languedoc (approximately 300 honorable objects and numerous materials of excavations,fragments etc).
