In 2005, the Association of local authorities of Carmausin-Ségala, owner of the buildings of the Domain of the Glass factory, took the site of the old Royal Glass factory in direct management to elaborate a new project open to the contemporary creation with glass.

In 2010, in front of popular success met by the museum, the elected representatives of the 3CS work in the elaboration of a scientific and cultural project to define exactly the missions of an equipment becoming a vector of identity, cultural, touristic and economic development for the territory.
The restoration in 2012, of the scientific and cultural project of the museum impulsed a new dynamics and new perspectives of partnerships.
