Closing time for works
Created in 2001 by the artist Pascal Lemoine, the glass workshop was located in the old chapel of the estate. For 17 years, the workshop has welcomed many artists who made the ovens sound not far from the remains of the former Royal Glassworks where the Museum is located. 17 years of residencies, creations, during which the public could enjoy demonstrations of blown glass and moments with the artists.
Today, the glass shop is a limited work area, where the reception of the public remains complicated, and requires restructuring work and new equipment and tools (no less than 4 ovens are needed to create under the eyes of the public parts from beginning to end). That is why in 2019, the workshop closes its doors and will not be able to welcome neither artists nor public. Work will offer an optimal welcome so that everyone can enjoy the magic of molten glass.
