The Biennial of Glass is a public event organized by the museum / Glass Art Centre and supported by the Community Carmausin-Ségala Commons. After 18 years, it’s now the 1st Contemporary Glass Exhibition in France.
Bringing together some fifty artists and craftsmen from all over Europe, this exhibition has become the unmissable event of glass creation. In Carmaux, all techniques are represented: glass blown with cane, glass paste, stained glass, casting, fusing, spinning with torch ... From decorative objects to sculptures, through stained glass, light fixtures, jewelry .. , It is also the occasion of a unique meeting with recognized artists and young talents who will share with you their passion.

Under the marquee, artists from the Biennale will offer demonstrations of blown glass with cane and flame-spun.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE DOMAINE DE LA VERRERIE :
An association (History & Heritage of Carmaux area) proposes guided tours of the Domaine de la Verrerie : saturday & friday at 2:00 PM. Discover history of the Solages family property. From outside, you will learn more about the built and landscaped heritage of this area, and its evolution over the centuries.

The Tarn Chamber of Trades and Crafts presents the various courses offered at the Sorèze URMA (Regional University of Trades and Crafts) where 19 Crafts diplomas are dispensed, including 5 concerning glass.
